Hey guys, I hope you’re ready to have fun this 4th of July weekend and celebrate with your friends and family! I have for you a 4th of July present 🙂 in form of a short leg workout. I did this routine during the day in my studio in a 100 degree heat so if I look like I’m about to die in the video – it’s because I almost did. I even had a cold shower prior and kept my hair wet to stay cool for the workout. If you do have an AC at home, I suggest to crank it up so that you can do 3 rounds instead of just one. I promise you’ll love it! 😉

Warm Up Routine

Cool Down & Stretching

 

Workout Breakdown

1. Stationary Jump Lunge – left

2. Backward lunge knee up – left

3. Stationary Jump Lunge – right

4. Backward lunge knee up – right

5. Curtsy lunge to squat – left

6. Curtsy lunge to squat – right

7. Jump squat – touch down

8. Stationary side lunge – left

9. Stationary side lunge – right

10. Side lunge jump

Each exercise is 30 seconds with no break in between. Jump go through them one by one. You can also set your timer for 15 minutes and go through this circuit 3 times if you want to burn more calories!

      Well, I hope not. I got rid of mine ages ago when she stopped using it. Let’s hope she has it in the studio as a decoration only:) I’m not buying another one that’s for sure:)

    I loved it! Just done 3 rounds…i loved the curtsy to squat! And i thought i was hot with our temperature of 25 degrees in the UK! You look great, Zuzka! I love your hair!

    Dear Zuzka, I need your help, I broke my forearm yesterday, can you help me to find some of your training I can do during my 6 weeks of plaster cast ? I know i need to take it easy the first days, but I don’t want to lose all my training skills and do nothing during these 6 weeks.. Thank you !

      Hi Diana, I’m so sorry for your injury. That really sucks. I like to help people with chronic pain and point them to my postural therapy routines but when it’s something like and illness or an injury, then it’s out of my scope. If I had a cast on my arm, I would choose workouts for lower body but there’s always a chance you may trip and fall onto your injured arm, so I don’t really feel comfortable recommending anything. I’d say, if your doctor gave you the green light to exercise with the cast, then pick the workouts that you are comfortable doing.

        I totally understand what you mean. i will wait until my doctor says it’s ok. It’s hard to stay calm when you’re active everyday ! Thank you for your answer and your awesome workouts, I can wait to be back !

    I did this one, 5 minute #33, and 5 minute #19. I plan on repeating this circuit later this afternoon for workout #2. I burned 210 calories. Happy 4th of July to Warriorz in the States 🙂

      Haha addict! Great wo drive, Rachel! I will do my wo’s in an hour or so. I will hit it big again, and probably do 30 min all together since I can’t talk about morning and evening wo’s anymore… Gaaah! 🙂

    Nice workout! Will do it later after work.
    Zuzka, I admire you so much that you can get a training with loose hair. I can’t workout if I don’t have a ponytail, especially if it’s super hot. My hair gets everywhere and I can’t stand it! haha

      Oh I was thinking of it too! When it gets hot and sweaty no matter if I workout or not – I can’t stand my hair being on my shoulders – I will put it to ponytail or a bun immediately haha!
