This workout was so intense that I couldn’t keep up with how many rounds I did. If you’ve been experiencing the same thing, don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with you. It just means that you’re really pushing yourself which is awesome. I suggest you to use some efficient counting method like having a bunch of coins on one side of your exercise mat and each time you complete a full round, you move one coin to the other side. It’s the fastest counting method I’ve ever done, because it doesn’t require any thinking. It’s just a quick move with your hand to push a coin away from you. If you have any other tips or suggestion on how to count reps and rounds effectively during the workouts, please let us know in the comments.
Workout Breakdown
5 minute AMRAP
1. Jump Tuck x 5
*an easier modification would be jump squat and low impact would be weighted squat
2. Criss Cross Commando Push Ups x 4
*an easier modification would be plank criss cross knee tucks (no push ups)
3. Plank jump to squat (x2) Knee hugs (x2)
* an easier modification would be jumping your feet forward when you’re in the plank, leaving your hands on the ground and low impact modification would be 2x plank knee tuck instead of each jump so 4x alternating knee tucks.

We need a tracker here! 🙂
And I’ll note on a sheet of paper how many full rounds I will have done, just a line is one round.

I did this after Kettlebell 5X, and used this as a buy out. Followed Z’s pace – thanks for stopping to tie your laces twice 😉 I have no idea how many rounds you did either!

Great start to Friday. I did 10 rounds and was so out of breath at the end. I never would have kept count so I used Zuzka’s idea. In the past I have used a white board and I’ll make 10 x’s at the beginning and I wipe one out for each round I complete. Have a great Friday everyone and thanks!

Hi Zuzka! On the workout breakdown, exercise 3, you wrote Plank jump to squat (x2) Knee hugs (x2) x 4, but you only did it x 1. What are we supposed to do?
Thanks 🙂

I see she didn’t answer. I was wondering the same thing. I just did 1X like she did in the video.

Can’t wait to do this in a bit. I open the calculator app on my phone and just add 1 each time I complete a round. Love these five min workouts that include abs and cardio because I can do them at the gym too without the video.

Very fun and intense! I lost count too! Hoping the tracker shows up later and has your rep count Zuzka! Followed your pace. Was very thankful your shoe lace came untied a couple of times too! 🙂
