If you are looking for a workout that will raise up your heart rate and target your abs at the same time, then you just found it. You can try this workout right now if you have 5 minutes and an exercise mat, because that’s really all you need. I have to say that I fell in love with these super short workouts, because I don’t feel like I have to pace myself. I can really put all of my strength and effort into this workout and enjoy the burst of endorphins 5 minutes later. It’s pretty incredible what a short workout like this can do for your mood. If I was a doctor I would be prescribing these as a treatment for anxiety, depression, or lack of confidence. It was makes me feel so good and energized. Give it a try!
I got a new outfit from Lorna Jane. I’m wearing it in today’s workout video. She gave it to me when I went to her store in Santa Monica to get her new book signed, which is by the way full of awesome healthy recipes. Each exercise is 30 seconds long and you’ll go through the circuit twice which gives you an awesome 5 minute workout that will boost your metabolism and energy for the day. If you stick with a healthy diet and keep consistent with your training, then you’ll see changes happening in every aspect of your life. If you feel good in your body it’s going to reflect on your work and your relationships.

I don’t like the music at all. I’ve always loved the fact that you don’t have music playing.It gets so annoying with music. And I don’t care for that type of music anyway. Just thought I’d let you know.
I’ve been meaning to ask you if you can do a strength workout series where you combine lots of weight exercises with some cardio and maybe even have a little longer workouts (20 or 25 minutes?). Just thought.

Zuzka typically has shorter workouts because that’s her preferred way to exercise. She’s said some time ago that she doesn’t like long workouts, but some of her exercises in the past have been that length of time before (20-25 min). If you want, you can add additional rounds to some of her ZShred videos. Those have cardio and strength training in them, so why not do those plus additional 2-3 rounds?

I love these workouts, and I can combine them with another one of your five minute exercises (with a one minute break in between) for a really great 10 minute workout. I love the sports bra!

Another good one! You’re on a roll this week. Ca you tell me why are you now keeping your feet apart on burpees? I’m just wondering if it alters the exercise at all. Also, I can’t figure out why I’m feeling the side crunch more in my outer leg than abs, even when I aqueeze hard. If you have any advice that’d be great, thanks!

I love these ‘shorties’. What they do is lure you into a work-out and once you feel warmed up by them, you feel like doing some more! If you don’t want to do more you still get the endorphin affect and no guilt because Zuzka endorsed it!
The outfit is very cute, too.
