If you are looking for a workout that will raise up your heart rate and target your abs at the same time, then you just found it. You can try this workout right now if you have 5 minutes and an exercise mat, because that’s really all you need. I have to say that I fell in love with these super short workouts, because I don’t feel like I have to pace myself. I can really put all of my strength and effort into this workout and enjoy the burst of endorphins 5 minutes later. It’s pretty incredible what a short workout like this can do for your mood. If I was a doctor I would be prescribing these as a treatment for anxiety, depression, or lack of confidence. It was makes me feel so good and energized. Give it a try!

 

 

I got a new outfit from Lorna Jane.  I’m wearing it in today’s workout video. She gave it to me when I went to her store in Santa Monica to get her new book signed, which is by the way full of awesome healthy recipes. Here is the workout breakdown:

 

1. Competition Burpees

2. Side plank kick – left side

3. Side plank kick – right side

4. Competition Burpees

5. Toe touch / Star Crunch

Each exercise is 30 seconds long and you’ll go through the circuit twice which gives you an awesome 5 minute workout that will boost your metabolism and energy for the day. If you stick with a healthy diet and keep consistent with your training, then you’ll see changes happening in every aspect of your life. If you feel good in your body it’s going to reflect on your work and your relationships.

    Wow– this one was sneaky hard! I didn’t expect it to be *that* challenging, especially since it was only a 5 Min Workout. But, those side plank kicks were really tough, since I noticed Zuzka wasn’t really “resting” at the bottom of the movement, so it was constant tension and work. I also like that this one had a cool down built in, because– and I know this is really bad, but– I almost never do a cool down… I tend to be so wiped out from my workout, that when I’m done, I’m DONE. Not having to go to a separate video to cool down kept me honest, today. Thanks, Z!

    I loved this one. I have changed it a little as I wanted something short but longer than 5 minutes so I have added 30 sec of jump rope in between each exercise and “made” it tabata workout with 30/5 sec so I had time to get a jump rope 🙂 I did 2 rounds of this and absolutely loved it 🙂 I love your 5 min workouts.

    I did 10 min of this workout + 10 min of 5 Minute Workout #6 – Cardio and Chest Workout (29.08.14) + 8 rounds of 5 Minute Workout #4(20.08.14) + 5 rounds of 5 Minute Workout #5 – Intense Burn(25.08.14).
    I could feel my but very well in the side plank kick. Thank you!

    FEROCIOUS 5 MIN, IF U PUSH REALLY HARD! TY ZUZKA 🙂 Did not count reps, no time for that… Trying to do a 5 min WO everyday on top of the regular weekly workout and I’m in love!
