About the workout schedule
I’m posting new workouts at midnight (PST -8) Los Angeles time zone, before the day starts. You can find this workout schedule on the right side of each page with links to the new workouts included.
IF YOU NEED A BOOST OF ENERGY AND METABOLISM FOR YOUR WORKOUT, GET MY PRE-WORKOUT PROTEIN BLEND WITH FAT BURNER.
Workout Programs for Beginners
If you’re a beginner and you have just joined ZGYM™ for the first time, you should be focusing on building your strength and endurance via beginner workouts so that you can eventually progress to workout series such as Cardio Shred, Body Crush, Kettlebell Workouts, Jump Rope Cardio, etc.
If you stay consistent and workout daily, you can get there in just a few weeks. Remember that everything takes time and practice, but nothing is impossible. EXERCISE DAILY!

I’ve been wondering, are you affected by the fires near LA? Hoping you and other Zgym members in the area are safe!

So looking forward to jr with abs!! I love the ropeless jump rope , I can only jump rope outside on my deck and right now there is snow all over it! This is perfect for those days or rain days. I am one of those people that are a I must wo, always have been since I was 13 years old doing aerobics with Bess Motta! I love the natural high it gives and of course all the physical benefits. I have to say though I have never been as dedicated to working out since I signed up for zgym. You are a great motivator Zuzka!!
Thank you!

I actually don’t function properly anymore if I don’t work out in the morning or maby that’s just because I got used to being focused and awake early in the day hahaha.
How is your vegan mealplan coming along? I’m very excited about it.

My Plant Based meal plan (not Vegan) is going to be done really soon. I had some hick ups with the clothing line so meal plan got on hold. Now we’re moving forward with both.

hey zuzka I have a question
what do you think about 2 days off of exercises?
some experts says you must have at least 2 total day off
thanks fro the answer

bonjour Thibault, I typically don’t hesitate to do 2 rest days if I feel tired and about to fall sick. There is no point to push my body and then really fall sick. Also if my muscles are very sore, I tend to rest 2 days. But I know that Z has another approach, but she also has a different life..we all have different lives, so a little personal way/feeling is not bad.

This weekend was one of those weekends for me. I’m the type that has to try really hard not to be too hard on myself about it, too. My break was more due to me being down this weekend (I’d been looking forward to my company’s Christmas party for months — I never get to dress up… and I have a dress that, thanks to the zgym, I’ve never looked better in! I was so looking forward to getting to wear it…then I got snowed out and had to miss it. 😓 My area doesn’t handle the roads well in the snow. Maybe next year). I’m not a “snack when feeling down” sort of person. I lose my appetite, wind up skipping meals, and dropping pounds. And I get a little nervous about working out on top of that, when I get down to a certain point. As long as I don’t KEEP putting off the workouts, I wind up watching my weight and resting a day if I feel like I ought to.
I know my case wasn’t a “2 days off to give the muscles a break” sort of day off. But it made me think of that, anyway. I’m trying not to feel bad about taking a little extra break. It’s a new week and I’m ready to go! 😊

I’m so sorry you missed the party you were so looking forward to go to. It’s a bummer, but I’m sure you’ll have another opportunity to sport that awesome dress!

Awww, your response made my day! 😊 The party situation was sort of the straw that broke the camel’s back — I’m sure another chance will arise…and the workouts between now and then will make the dress look all the better! And now that I’ve gathered myself, I’m ready to tackle the week, NOT miss a day *this* week… and just use any leftover frustrations to my advantage by using them to fuel an extra push! 😉

I was thinking the same thing; this wknd was my work Christmas party so was tired the next day. Also I try to do the 7 days straight but not always possible due to time or just tired/weak/need a break.

I think Z’s idea of day off is the easy stuff like Stretch and Tone or Power Yoga, 2 times a week. These workouts are very relaxing and don’t really feel like an workout. She stresses about the ‘recovery days’, as long as there is still some kind of movement. Even the experts who say to not workout every day, they advice to still do some slow stuff on the days off.

2 days off is not necessary when doing the type of workouts here in the ZGYM. It’s not even necessary to take one day completely off. The way we get our rest is doing easy pace stretching and toning on Wednesdays and Sundays which helps with recovery more than doing nothing.

Great coffee talk, so motivating! Thanks very much for bringing up the new 8 minute Tabata series! December for me is always full of social and professional commitments, so this is great to continue on track (I’ve been finding it really hard during the last 2 weeks… ) Have a great week everybody!

What a perfect time of the year for the 8-minute series! I actually have fairly regular schedule times this week, but have a day the first half of next week where I’ll be pressed…so I think I’ll save Thursday’s workout for that day (since the new one won’t quite be out yet, then) and pick a regular-length one for this week! 🙂 Oooo, and I’m looking forward to the abs/jump rope series! That sounds awesome!!
